phew.. woke up at 6 and studied till my exams at 9.30, then after exams studied a bit more at home, went to uni library at 4 and stayed there studying all the way till 12! I've been awake for the past 18hrs studying and it can't get anymore boring than this... well, did have short breaks in between so it's alright, but i'm still dead tired and haven't recovered from my loss of sleep last night! Don't think i'll have much sleep again tonight since i've still got so much more to cover for my exam which i have less than a day to study for.. And yup gotta thank God for helping me in my exam today, and thank Him in advance for blessing me with good grades :)
Today i read Ezekiel 3:16-21. Found it pretty interesting..
16 Now it came to pass at the end of seven days that the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me: 18 When I say to the wicked, ‘You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 19 Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.
20 “Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand. 21 Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul.”
Well i read this in the morning right after i got up from bed, and this passage woke me up pretty good.. After reading v17, i was reminded of Isaiah 62:6 which also talked about being watchman, and after reading this passage, i got a clearer picture of a watchman. And it isn't a very fun or easy job because if you aren't do what your told, blood will be on your hands and you will be accountable to God on judgment day. Like at the end of v19 and v21, as long as we warn them, we have delivered our soul. But if we don't... consequences don't sound too good. This got my mind really thinking especially after i just woke up. There has been a prophetic word over nlcc that we will be watchman, and if we don't do as we've been told.. it's not gonna be pleasant..
I pray that i will have the courage to do as i've been told, and be the watchman that actually warns people, and not the one that does nothing..
