Today has been a great Sunday! Morning service was good, i'm really happy that david(classmate) managed to come to church, trying to get another win! Spent the afternoon trying to jam with yang the new hillsong songs from the new album, but ended up watching the dvd again for the like 7th time haha.. Then Bi-lingual service was a blast! From the stage, worship was just awesomeee. I had so much fun just drumming with the team, just moving with the spirit and in the spirit. The team tonight was just so united and sam was great on the keys, with yang pumped on the guitar hahaha..so much fun! Then we had our weekly worship/prayer night again, and it was another amazing night since this time we had sam on the keys and aaron on the guitar, both so anointed! The atmosphere was really changing! Near the end, my arms were itching to drum, but there were no drums :(. I guess going to hillsong really inspired me not just to love God, but also to love drumming a lot more! Whenever i hear a song now, the first thing that comes to my mind would be drums! And the feeling of drumming to a song on the ipod, compared to actually drumming during worship in real life is so much more different.. there's that factor that you can only get when your there in person!
For my devotion, i'm up to Day 16! Hopefully i didn't miss any while in Sydney.
So today im up to where Isaac gets his wife, Rebekah(Genesis 24). What i found interesting was how he got her. After reading the passage, i can tell straight away that she definitely was from God to Isaac, because it's like some sort of miracle that is so clear and precise. So basically, Abraham sent a servant to look for a wife for Isaac, and the servant prayed a very specific prayer to God on how he will meet the wife of Isaac, and how he will know that she is the right woman. Reading that prayer sounded like the servant was too demanding, asking from God even to smallest detail as to what their speech will be like! But the amazing thing is that even though the request from the servant to God was virtually impossible, and seemed like it wouldn't happen.. God still granted that request, and what the servant asked for was given to him exactly! After reading that passage, i think it is obvious to say that Rebekeh was indeed the woman for Isaac who was chosen by God.
This just reminded me once again that whatever we ask God for in His name, He will give it to us, no matter how crazy the request may seem. I wonder if only finding the partner God has for us is still as easy as it was back then.. Neither of them had to go out looking for their partner, all they did was pray and asked God to show them who it was, and God just revealed it them! Haha to me it seems like some sort of fairy tale or story where everything works out so easily, its so hard to even believe that these sort of stuff would still happen in our current days.. Oh well we just gotta trust in God!
Your grace is enough, more than i need, at Your word i will believe..
