Got reminded of this song which i think i first sang aggeess ago when i was in a Scripture Union camp back in Singapore when i was around like 7 years old. I still remember that it was the first ever christian camp that i went to without my parents, and the point of the camp was to record some music cd, and all the kids who went for the camp were the singers! It was like a choir for kiddies sorta thing..but it was an awesome experience! I think it was like a 3 day 2 night sort of camp, and all we ever did was sing songs! On the last day of the camp we went to a recording studio and recorded our singing, and i still remember the day when they sent us a copy of the completed music cd, we would look through the 'credits/vocalist' section and we would be able to spot our names! As a kid i felt pretty proud of myself hahas.. But at the end of the day, the songs were awesome songs, and some of them just stuck with me because the lyrics of the songs really taught me more about God. To a 7 year old, that must have been pretty amazing.. Isn't God a genius!

Day 21.

Today was about Joseph(Jacob's youngest son) getting sold by his brothers.. Well i think i've read this or heard of this passage for like a million times already, but i guess the one thing i learnt this time as i read it again was that, even though Joseph was a man of God who clearly had God's favour upon his life e.g for all the dreams given to him, and favour from Jacob.. He still went through troubles and pains like getting sold to merchants by his other brothers from the same family! I mean if that happened to me, i would definitely not have felt good thats for sure.. But still God let that happen to him. However all these things and events that happened in Joseph's life all happened for a reason, and that was to make us a better person, and to fulfil in our lives the great calling God has placed upon us! So the next time whenever something not good happens to us(e.g getting sold out by fellow brothers), it all boils down to how we will react to situation.
