Yeaaa!! awesome holidays!! its only just begun and i've done sooo many things already :) spent the entire day with friends catching up with them, which was good. Yaf tonight was good, life group was pretty interesting too. We read Mark 2:1-12, and i had a question which i wasn't too sure of, but Ps Chris gave a pretty detailed answer haha.. Anyway my question was this, why did Jesus first say your sins are forgiven to the paralytic instead of saying that he is healed? I was wondering if the illness was caused by sin, therefore Jesus forgave him, but apparently when Jesus first saw him, He saw all the sins that were in him and thats why he was forgiven first. And i also don't think that sin had anything to do with the illness..
Aaaaahhh!!! three more sleeps to hillsong!! yay!! can't wait for it :))
Ok for my previous devotions i've just been doing it randomly(like flipping open the Bible), and i didn't think that it was a good idea... soo i bought a chronological Bible that finishes the Bible in a year, so now i'll be using that as my devotional material, and at the same time help me to have a better idea of what goes on in the Bible in chronological order :) By this time next year, i can safely say that i've read the whole Bible at least once!
Day 1
(Lots of Bible references, so i don't think i'll put them all down, i'll just write what spoke to me)
Genesis 1:26-27
26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
So i'm sure many people already this that we've all been made in God's image..So its all yay! and hooray! which is good. That we don't have to dislike how we are and how we look like, because we're made in God's image. But one thing we got to ask ourselves, is how much of God's image in us are we portraying? Are living the life that that God wants us to live. How much of God's image is reflected in us? When people look at us, can they see God in us? We are made in the image of God, but are we living like we have been made in God's image? Just some points to think about :)
