Turn our eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His Glory and Grace

--------------------------------------

Another awesome that inspired me today! Whenever we feel at a loss, or in a situation where we don't know what to do, this always encourages me.. Recently i've personally been frustrated about a few things in my life, and about things around me aren't going right and i don't know what to do to make things right.. i just feel quite bleh sometimes, then i talk to few others and they have the same feelings, and everyone just feels at a loss.. But this song has always been showing me the right direction and what to do when i don't know what to do. The lyrics of this song just really hits me, and it rings so loudly inside of me.. Turn our eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace. AMEN!

Day 19.

Well today's devotion was on Esau's history.. it talked about how many wives he had, and all his sons..(nothing interesting) Then it went on talking about Laban catching up to Jacob as he was running away to get back his gods that were taken from him by Rachel. One of the things that got me thinking was that even though Laban had his own gods, God still spoke to him regarding Jacob and interestingly enough Laban listened and obeyed. So here is this man that worships some other gods, but yet God still talks to him..i found that pretty amazing, if God speaks to people who don't even worship Him, how much more will He speak to us His children who worship and believe in Him! The next thing is this, if Laban knew that the God of Jacob was real and obeyed Him, why does he still worship other gods that were fake? I mean once you find a real God that is alive, why would settle for other gods that aren't even real? The fact that Laban obeyed means that he must have feared God, because if he didn't fear God he wouldn't have obeyed God. Lastly, we learn once more that God is a God who protects us, guides us, and makes our path straight. God told Jacob to leave from where he was, and Jacob obeyed, but in the process got chased after by Laban and his men. However God protected Jacob and prevented any harm against him, by speaking to Laban. So if we obediently follow what God tells us to do, we won't have to worry about anything else, because God will make a way for us!

You are my shield, my strength, my portion, deliverer. My shelter, strong tower, my very present help in time of need..
