1 I will extol the LORD at all times;
his praise will always be on my lips.
2 My soul will boast in the LORD;
let the afflicted hear and rejoice.
3 Glorify the LORD with me;
let us exalt his name together.
4 I sought the LORD, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
5 Those who look to him are radiant;
their faces are never covered with shame.
6 This poor man called, and the LORD heard him;
he saved him out of all his troubles.
7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him,
and he delivers them.
8 Taste and see that the LORD is good;
blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.
9 Fear the LORD, you his saints,
for those who fear him lack nothing.
10 The lions may grow weak and hungry,
but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
11 Come, my children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 Whoever of you loves life
and desires to see many good days,
13 keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from speaking lies.
14 Turn from evil and do good;
seek peace and pursue it.
Let Us Exalt His Name Together (Actual Song Below)
V1. At all times I will bless Him
His praise will be in my mouth
My soul makes its boast in the Lord
The humble man will hear of Him
The afflicted will be glad
And join with me to magnify the Lord
C. Let us exalt His name together, forever
I sought the Lord, He heard me
And delivered me from my fears.
Let us exalt His name together, forever
0 sing His praises magnify the Lord
V2. The angel of the Lord encamps
Round those who fear His name
To save them and deliver them from harm
Though lions roar with hunger
We lack for no good thing
No wonder then we praise Him with our song
V3.Come children now and hear Him
If you would see long life
Just keep your lips from wickedness and lies
Do good and turn from evil
Seek peace instead of strife
Love righteousness and God will hear your cry
Alright so the first time I heard this song, it just melted my heart, especially since it was an all girls’ choir that sang it. I remember back in the church in Singapore, we would sing it differently, but still equally good :) Then aaron and I just started talking about old songs that we know, and I got all excited about it again.. started searching the net to see if I could find the lyrics, chords, and mp3 file.. so that’s why im doing this post at 1.45am in the morning! Haha..
So anyway, devotion today was from Isaiah 61:1-3
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me,
because the LORD has anointed me
to preach good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.
I first read this text from Luke, but then realized it was from Isaiah, so I decided to go with the Isaiah version. This is a very powerful passage and I want to make this my prayer from now on. That the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord be on me, because I have been anointed to preach the good news. To bind up the broken hearted and to set the captives free. From who? The devil. To proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor(which I really believe so for this year and the many years to come!) and the day of vengeance of our God. And v3 being that awesome song that we sing at church!
I’ll make this one short since the psalm and the song has taken up so much space already. And I was really touched and ministered to by that song, really made my night!
P.s the song below is something similar but not exactly similar, I think it got changed to fit a choir
For You alone are God eternal, throughout earth and heaven above

Lol, do you know the song "Fires of Revival" - your old church in Singapore sang it once when I was there... the chorus lyrics are:
And there I built an altar to His name
And realised my life would never be the same
And then the fires of revival came sweeping through my soul
And I touched the holy presence of our Lord
That's another awesome oldie. Keep up the inspired posts. Pray daily for the Spirit of Wisdom & Revelation to enlighten you [Eph.1:16-19; Php.1:9; Col.1:9,10].
God bless you as you pursue Him passionately & affectionately. Amen.

Heal Our Nation (Lord We Long For You)
Lord, we long for You to move in power
There's a hunger deep within our hearts
To see healing in our nation
Send Your Spirit to revive us
Heal our nation
Heal our nation
Heal our nation
Pour out Your Spirit on this land
Lord we hear Your Spirit, coming closer
A mighty wave to break upon our land
Bringing justice, and forgiveness
God we cry to You, 'Revive us'
