Anyways today i had worshipNet meeting, and before that i had an hour of prayer/worship with Sam, Su, and Henry! It was a great time of worship and after that we shared our dreams for like a minute each to keep each other accountable haha.. Having the worship session before worshipNet really helped to get me into the right mood of worshiping God when Net started, also helped to wake me up :)

So anyway, as we were praying at the start of the meeting, i began to think of some the Bible verses that i had read recently, and somehow i managed to link them up.

2 Chronicles 7 : 14
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

James 4 : 6
6But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
"God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble."

Ephesians 2 : 5
5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Haha that seemed so cool to me because i haven't really remembered any verses that i've read for a long time, and i've also never linked any verses together before. It made me feel somewhat happy :)

Ok for devotion today, i decided to read up more on what Anne talked to us about this morning at the Net meeting. She said that there will be a revival coming soon, and that if we make it to the revival, we will have to pass a test of obedience. If we pass the test, we will gain a thousand times more, but are we able to obey and do what God wants? Then Anne talked about Abraham and Issac, and how Abraham willingly obeyed God to kill his own son. So i wanted to read more about these 'test' that we will have, and why God would want to test us. I'm sure that its not just to see if we are obedient, because there are other ways to see if we're obedient to God e.g by doing what he tells us to do.
Then i read Exodus chapter 20, which was the Ten Commandments, and at verse 20 it says:

20 Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning."

After that it made more sense to me, the test was like a protection net, so that through the test we would learn to fear God, and to keep us from sinning. This reminded me of Job(famous for being tested by God), who lost everything due to the test that God had placed him in. But however, at the end of the test he ended up much more wealthier than he ever was, and he also had a closer and stronger relationship with God, which i believe led to him being kept away from sinning.

So may i, through the test that will place before me, endure it and pass it with flying colours! May i be willingly obedient to whatever God wants me to do, and surrender everything i have to Him, who means everything to us.

I'm coming back to the heart of worship, where it's all about You, it's all about You Jesus.
