Phew.. today was long and tiring but fun :) Sent jie off to the airport, after spending the whole morning and afternoon with her and aaron. But we had a really great time of fellowship, and just spent so much time with each other talking about stuff on our hearts. Had a long chat with Anne in the car with Tim, and Aaron..learnt more new things about callings..

Anyway..God opened another door for me today!! Wow!! So amazing!! I just received a call from my parents saying that, if they place a financial bond for me and i go back to singapore to do a few months of army, i'll be able to go to and fro here to singapore freely without getting caught! Which means that i'll be able to go for the g12 conference in singapore next year!! This to me was such great news, cause God has once again made a way for me in my time of doubt. God does answer prayers, its all in his right timing.

So for devotion today, i decided to do what Anne recommended us to do which was to search the New Testament to see how people prayed. I did a quick search and found a lot of verses, i compiled them to a word document, but i'll just share some that i really learnt from.

Ephesians 1:18
I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

Ephesians 3:17 - 19
so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.


Ephesians 6:18

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. 19Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.

Colossians 1:9 -10
For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. 10 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,

2 Thessalonians 1:11
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.

2 Thessalonians 3:1
[ Request for Prayer ] Finally, brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.

2 Thessalonians 3:2
And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith.

So these are the few verses that caught my sight as i was doing a search. Stuff that hit me, pray that we may be counted worthy of our calling, that the message of God be honored, to be filled with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, that we may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God, that the eyes of our heart be enlightened.

But im sure that there's so many more things that we can pray for from that are Biblical. Learning how to pray is really important, and i dont want the way i pray to be wrong and cause more harm than good to myself unknowingly. When i have more time, i'll definitely do a more detailed and in-depth on how to pray properly and what we can and should pray for.



We will run all together our hearts aflame, with a fire that can't be tame, our God we'll bring glory to your name
