Alright so my internet was down for the whole of last night so i couldn't do yesterday's post till now. I still did my devotion yesterday morning though, so it was good. Just briefly, last night we had another prayer session where we prayed about who our spiritual fathers should be, and later on for the leadership of the church. Found it really good coz i felt that God had told me some stuff and i've got a small clue as to what to do now. As we were praying for the leadership of the church, i felt that a certain sermon needed to be preached to the church. It's about badmouthing leadership in the church and gossiping about them to others. The church should realize the how serious it is to badmouth the church's pastors behind their backs, even if their unhappy with them for any reason, they should never try to sow discord among fellow brothers and sisters. An example is from 2 Samuel 6: 14-23. God is a just God, so he will curse those who curse us. Ooorrr we could just leave it to God to do it in his way and his time haha..we gotta be grateful for what He's already given to us.

For devotion yesterday, i read John 8:31-36.

31To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

33They answered him, "We are Abraham's descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?"

34Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Amen! I don't think that this passage is a hard passage to understand, but the depth of it is really deep. The truth will set us free. Free from everything!! Its like the same saying that we are more than conquerors, and we have overcome. Because we have been set free from everything that can ever possibly hold us down! Our God is an awesome all powerful God, where nothing is impossible for him. So we have to realize that if He sets us free, we are free indeed! No worries of this world should hold us down, no problems, troubles, or hardships should ever get in our way.

But first we have to believe in Him, hold on to Hiss teachings to truly be his disciple. Only then will we know the truth and be set free. So we gotta check and see if we really believe in Him, hold on to His teachings and be a disciple of Christ. Because if we aren't, we haven't been set free yet.

May God reveal to us the true revelation of His death on the cross for our sins, and for our salvation. That we may take up our cross daily and realize how much He actually loves us.

Thank you Lord, you died for me, in love you gave, your life for me...
