I went to badminton hoping to get some exercise, but immediately after that we went to maccas and had a large big Mac meal.. so much for exercise! haha, but it was great fun just hanging out with fellow brothers and sisters chatting and getting to know them more, and building deeper relationships since life is all about relationships after all! It's so awesome just being in this family, God's family, and don't we all just love God for that? I know i love God for everything that He has already given me and blessed me with.. I also know for sure that i've been placed into a great family and i wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
Day 38.
As i was reading today's passage, i realised that the warnings that God gave to the Israelites back in those days weren't kind warnings of any sort.. God is as detailed as usual, and even in His warnings, He warns us of what would happen if we don't obey His law.. e.g terror, diseases, barren land, plagues, deaths of love ones, lack of food, and much more.. Just reading it alone sent shivers down my spine as i don't ever want to experience the vivid description of what God will put us through when we go against His law.. Many times when we go against the law, it usually leads to death. I reckon if i was to be judged under the law, i would have been long dead.. So it just reminds me of how amazing the grace of God is, and how much we need that grace.
I used to wonder that because the grace of God is so amazing, so many Christians are taking it for granted and are 'abusing' it, thinking that if they sin they can just ask God to forgive them. But at the hillsong conference, Judah Smith talked about that exact same point and he gave a very good example.. Because his wife loves him so much, so unconditionally, and always forgives him whenever he does something wrong.. does that encourage him to go and fool around with other women? No! it is actually the opposite! Because his wife loves him so much, all the more it makes him want to please his wife and make her happy.. In the same way, when we truly understand and get the revelation of the grace of God, we wouldn't ever want to take for granted or 'abuse' the grace that God has given us, on the contrary we would want to try our best to please Him and make Him happy! That's how amazing our God is! Knowing Him just wants to make me love Him more!!
Lord i want to know You more, deep within my heart i want to know You..
